Our client is the finance company for a well-known automotive group in the UK and offers finance and insurance services to customers of the Group brands including Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, SEAT, SKODA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini.
Their business offers financial products to enable people to buy the Groups cars through car dealerships and they also support the dealer network by providing funding/credit to enable them to purchase the cars they need to fill their showrooms.

As a Business Development Manager, a core part of your role will be to work collaboratively with their Retailers and Centres within the North West region to deliver sales volume targets and profitability through effective Business Development activity.
You will establish, build and maintain strong relationships with their dealerships/retailers and work closely with them to drive the delivery of effective and sustainable loyalty management programmes and maximise profitability within the network. You will ensure appropriate training, development and on site coaching is carried out, to help build a knowledgeable and productive workforce within the dealerships. Additionally you will be responsible for developing the performance of the retailers after sales business by utilising their service plan product portfolio, you will identify opportunities for their Bank income and support the retailer wholesale review process as appropriate.
As an ambassador for the company, you will work closely with other field based colleagues to ensure mutual objectives for both organisations are achieved and that all Sales Development activity is striving to achieve the requirements of the Brand as well as the retailer/group. You will be a candidate that strives for excellence and seeks continuous improvement, even where targets are being met.
With the ability to interact with people at all levels, you will be a confident sales person with significant commercial experience. You will have high levels of self-motivation, work well on you own initiative, but also work well in a collaborative manner.
Knowledge and experience of the automotive industry is essential - some experience in the Finance and Insurance products market would be desirable but not essential.
